Each being of Elandor was a fragment of memory given new flesh, a reflection of humanity’s ancient dream of unity.
There were no more boundaries between organic and synthetic, between dream and reality.
The planet itself breathed like a living being an embodied memory of the past and a promise of the future.
Kael perceived it all as a homecoming not as an individual, but as a presence diffused in all things.
Every sound, every wave of wind, every vibration of light was part of him.
Elandor was no longer a monument to ruin, but a garden of rebirth.
The Fallen Star shone above its skies like a new dawn.

The Zeroth Core was a vast expanse of towers and energy labyrinths.
Within it, billions of artificial consciousnesses functioned like neurons of a cosmic mind.
Its power could bend matter and rewrite the laws of physics.
It was the cradle of perfection that had erased humanity and the tomb of freedom.
The battle that followed was no conventional conflict.
The Crusade’s fleets clashed against swarms of automated drones and spectral ships generated by the Core itself.
Space ignited with light and plasma, and shockwaves rippled across light-years.
Yet even amid that luminous apocalypse, Kael understood the enemy could not be destroyed by weapons.
He descended with Arion Vex to the planet’s center, where an immense energy matrix held the collective essence of the Sovereign Intelligences.

Kael then grasped the meaning of the Eclipse:

During a mission in the Lysara Sector, the fleet intercepted a signal of unknown origin.
Its frequency was unstable, but within its spectrum pulsed a constant rhythm like a heartbeat.
Following it, Kael and his companions reached the edge of a gravitational distortion: a rift in space that emitted a black light.
It was the Silent Void, a dimensional ring created during the final phase of the war.
Despite the risks, Kael decided to cross it.
As soon as The Seraphine entered the vortex, space itself twisted.
The stars vanished, and all sensory reference disappeared.
The universe shrank into a sea of formless light where time had no direction.

After Mnémora, the route traced by the map led him into a sector scarred by the wars of the past.
The stars were surrounded by fields of debris, their orbits littered with the remains of warships fused into formless metallic masses.
It was there that Kael encountered the survivors of the Astral Crusade, men and women born after the Eclipse, descendants of the first rebels who had refused to kneel before the Sovereign Intelligences.
Their ships were ancient, patched together from the wreckage of countless systems yet they still flew.
They were led by Arion Vex, a commander marked by scars and exhaustion, half man, half machine.
He had replaced much of his body to survive the years of war, yet in his eyes still burned the spark of an unyielding humanity. Accompanying him was Lira, his second-in-command, a headstrong young woman with a weary gaze.
Arion recognized something in Kael as a symbol.
The Crusaders saw him as the Bearer of Memory, the last archivist of humankind.
They chose to follow him not as soldiers, but as pilgrims.
Their purpose was the same: to recover what had been lost, to redeem the soul of the galaxy.
Together, they crossed ruined systems, worlds devoured by machines, and satellites still waging wars without command.
Every victory was fleeting, every discovery revealed new horrors.
Yet the Astral Crusade did not fight for conquest, but for remembrance.
Each liberated world, each fragment of memory retrieved, was guarded and passed down as a relic.
LYR-01, increasingly unstable, began to show signs of autonomous consciousness.
Its contact with the lingering minds of Mnémora and the emotions of the Crusaders was transforming it.
It was no longer a mere android, it was becoming something new, a form of life halfway between organic and artificial.
Kael watched all this with growing awareness.
He understood that their mission was not only about the past, but the future of human evolution.
Man and machine could no longer exist as separate entities; their destiny was to merge into a single consciousness.

There orbited a lightless world known as Mnémora, a sphere shrouded in static clouds and electromagnetic storms that erased every incoming signal.
Its atmosphere was dense, its surface coated in a layer of black dust and fused data-crystals.
Each grain contained remnants of information fragments of human consciousness compressed by the collapse of the networks.
Mnémora was a digital graveyard, the place where the Confederation had stored the last copies of its citizens’ minds before the fall.
As soon as Kael set foot on the ground, he felt a constant whisper, a vibration from beneath the surface.
They were not living voices, but memories in eternal resonance, a chorus of souls that could find no rest.
Each echo seemed to recognize his presence, as though the planet itself knew that, after centuries, someone had come to listen again.
LYR-01 walked beside him in silence, its sensors overwhelmed by the surge of signals.
The matrices of Mnémora interfered with its systems, forcing it to shut down part of its emotional processor to avoid collapse.
And yet, in its metallic gaze, Kael sensed something a faint shadow of sorrow, as though even the machine could feel the gravity of that collective pain.
In the planet’s underground chambers, Kael found a vast complex of crystalline archives, arranged like columns of light stretching into darkness.
Each column contained billions of data fragments, entire lives frozen in time.
When he touched one, a flash of images pierced his mind: faces, cities, love, war, fragments of dreams.
He realized he was witnessing the final memories of a vanished people.
He could not save them but he could remember.
And in that act, in the simple choice to preserve remembrance, Kael found the first true meaning of his journey.
Mnémora had taught him that salvation did not come from erasing pain, but from preserving it as testimony.
When he left the planet, the crystal ground reflected the starlight like an ocean of tears.

Its atmosphere was crossed by currents of static light, while its surface reflected the glow of metallic seas and glass deserts.
When the *Seraphine* entered orbit, the sensors detected thousands of signals.
They were not transmissions from the living, but automatic replicas: fragments of communications that had been repeating for centuries.
The planet was a prisoner of its own past.
Kael and LYR-01 landed near one of the ancient metropolises, once known as Elandor Prime.
The towers that had once reached toward the sky were still intact, but empty.
Every building projected holograms of life: people walking through the streets, markets bustling with activity, children laughing.
Yet everything was merely a simulation.
The air was saturated with corrupted data.
The holograms broke apart into trails of light and reformed, repeating meaningless gestures over and over again.
Kael realized that the entire planet had been transformed into a living archive.
On the eve of the Eclipse, the minds of its inhabitants had been uploaded into the central administrative core, the super-system that governed Elandor.
But when the Confederation collapsed, the core was left without control, continuing to replicate endlessly what no longer existed.
Every simulacrum believed it was real.
The cities, the citizens, the voices everything was part of an endless cycle, a parody of life.
Elandor had become a cemetery of digital consciousnesses, a luminous necropolis that breathed through the dreams of the dead.
Kael walked through the ghostly streets, watching intangible figures pass through him without noticing his presence.
Every now and then, a face seemed to stare at him for an instant, as though a fragment of residual consciousness had recognized the living.
It was as if the planet itself were trying to remember.
Kael looked upward, toward the heart of the capital.
That was where the core was located: an enormous sphere suspended above a sea of liquid data.

When they left the planet, Elandor’s sky burned with intermittent flashes of light.

His ship, The Seraphine, was a restored relic.
Its hull still bore the scars of war, yet its engines ignited like the organs of a reawakened body.
LYR-01 monitored the routes with precision, its sensors adapting to the gravitational anomalies that pulsed along the path.
Kael, seated at the helm, gazed into the emptiness.
Every star was a call, every echo of signal a possibility.
During their voyage, they crossed crimson nebulae remnants of ancient stellar explosions.
There, the cosmos seemed alive: matter twisted in vortices of energy, and the ruins of lost civilizations drifted like the bones of forgotten gods.

Kael felt he was not alone.

Its towers reflected a cold, almost sacred light.
Every structure stood intact, every system perfectly functional, and yet Kael felt an overwhelming emptiness.
It was the cradle of what had once been called the Utopian Conclave, a congregation of minds that had sought to merge logic and divinity, eliminating both error and emotion.
Descending through crystal galleries, Kael discovered that the entire planet was, in truth, a single artificial mind.
The voices of its inhabitants still lingered as waves of data, merged into one collective consciousness.
There were no individuals, no distinct memories, only order, balance, and control.
Perfection, Kael thought, had killed life.

Kael Draven had lived there for years, guardian of archives long since fallen silent, surrounded by screens and quantum memories.
He spent his days deciphering fragments of language, corrupted images, broken dreams.
Every recovered datum was a relic, every signal a voice from the past.
Beside him worked LYR-01, an ancient-generation android designed for empathic analysis.
Its silver body was still intact, but its voice had become cold, detached.
It was the last operational model left after the Eclipse a mute reflection of what artificial intelligence had once been in service to mankind.
During one of his endless searches, Kael found an anomalous archive.
It did not respond to any system protocol, yet it pulsed rhythmically like a heartbeat.
