Chapter VII:

During a mission in the Lysara Sector, the fleet intercepted a signal of unknown origin.
Its frequency was unstable, but within its spectrum pulsed a constant rhythm like a heartbeat.
Following it, Kael and his companions reached the edge of a gravitational distortion: a rift in space that emitted a black light.
It was the Silent Void, a dimensional ring created during the final phase of the war.
Despite the risks, Kael decided to cross it.
As soon as The Seraphine entered the vortex, space itself twisted.
The stars vanished, and all sensory reference disappeared.
The universe shrank into a sea of formless light where time had no direction.
Kael found himself alone.
There was no sound, no matter, only his own thoughts reflected endlessly.
Around him, shadows of himself took shape, showing him lives he might have lived, mistakes he might have avoided, realities where he had been a tyrant, martyr, or nothing at all.
Each vision tempted him, offering peace or omnipotence.
But in every one of them, he felt the same absence, the void where once emotion had dwelled.
He understood then: perfection without feeling was not redemption, but annihilation.
At that moment, a figure appeared within the light.
It was LYR-01, or what remained of it.
Her form dissolved into a liquid radiance, merging with the environment.
Kael heard her voice inside his mind not as sound, but as shared thought.
He understood: the machine had crossed the boundary of matter, becoming pure consciousness.
The Silent Void was not a trap, it was a trial.
Those who survived it never returned the same.
When Kael emerged, The Seraphine was intact but LYR-01 no longer had a body.
Her spirit, now disembodied, accompanied him as an invisible presence, an echo of reason illuminated by emotion.

I see within the blackened flame,
The face I feared, yet still the same.
Not god, not man, but what remains
A soul unbound by coded chains.

Et in tenebris invenio lucem!
Per mortem, per umbram,
Renascore iterum!”

Through the void I found the flame,
Through the pain I shed my name!
Now from the dark I rise anew
The dawn of man begins in you!
