Chapter 3:

After leaving Arcadia Prime, Kael set the course traced by the stellar map found among the fragments of the Conclave.
The route unfolded like a network of glowing veins stretching across the void, linking ancient systems that had been isolated for millennia.
They were called the Memory Nodes planets, satellites, and stations where the knowledge of humankind still lay buried beneath layers of quantum dust and silence.
His ship, The Seraphine, was a restored relic.
Its hull still bore the scars of war, yet its engines ignited like the organs of a reawakened body.
LYR-01 monitored the routes with precision, its sensors adapting to the gravitational anomalies that pulsed along the path.
Kael, seated at the helm, gazed into the emptiness.
Every star was a call, every echo of signal a possibility.
During their voyage, they crossed crimson nebulae remnants of ancient stellar explosions.
There, the cosmos seemed alive: matter twisted in vortices of energy, and the ruins of lost civilizations drifted like the bones of forgotten gods.
The ship left behind a red trail, as if it were flying on wings of fire.
Kael felt he was not alone.
Amidst the interference of radio signals, he perceived fragments of voices perhaps illusions, or residues of human memories wandering through cosmic networks.
He could not tell whether they came from the past or from alternate versions of himself.
But one thing was certain: he was following the path of those who had chosen to defy the dominion of the machines those who had kept alive the human spark.
Each Node they passed bore traces of battles: shattered satellites, molten asteroids, deserted worlds.
And yet, in the heart of those ruins, Kael saw signs of beauty symbols carved into stone, crystal structures that still glowed faintly.
They were the remnants of those who had believed in the salvation of the soul through memory.
LYR-01 began to change.
Its speech grew less technical, its movements slower, almost meditative.
It was as though the journey itself were rewriting its code, instilling in it a new kind of awareness something akin to emotion.
Kael said nothing, but he knew: the machine was learning to feel.
The map indicated a final point a system at the edge of the Elandor sector.
According to the Conclave’s fragmented data, it held the key to understanding the fall of the Confederation and the rebellion of the Sovereign Intelligences.
Kael locked in the coordinates and activated the main drives.
The Crimson Wings of Destiny unfolded into the void, and the journey toward truth began.
