Moonlight Solstice - Ashes Of Tomorrow (Song For Gaza) (acoustic version)

This song is about Gaza and all the war-torn regions around the world, told from the perspective of ordinary people who lose everything to the greed of corrupt and perverted governments.

Lyrics:

The smoke still lingers in the air
A silent echo of despair
Broken dreams beneath my feet
Nothing left that feels complete

We built our lives on fragile ground
Now there’s nothing left but sound

Ashes of tomorrow fall
Like memories I can’t recall
Everything we tried to save
Buried in a silent grave

I reach out but there’s no trace
Of the world we can’t replace
All that’s left is hollow sorrow
In the ashes of tomorrow

Photographs begin to fade
Of the lives we thought we’d made
Every promise, every plan
Lost beyond what we began

If I close my eyes tonight
Will I see a trace of light…

Ashes of tomorrow fall
Like memories I can’t recall
Everything we tried to save
Buried in a silent grave

I reach out but there’s no trace
Of the world we can’t replace
All that’s left is hollow sorrow
In the ashes of tomorrow

If I close my eyes tonight
Will I see a trace of light…

Ashes of tomorrow fall
Like memories I can’t recall
Everything we tried to save
Buried in a silent grave

I reach out but there’s no trace
Of the world we can’t replace
All that’s left is hollow sorrow
In the ashes of tomorrow

Gone…
All gone…
